How can i find my lost my product key #, but i have my product ID # on my lap top.?

Is there a way to find my product key #, I lost my box with the vista cd in it, what can i do.

If your laptop came with Vista installed, then most manufacturers place a sticker with the OS key on the bottom of the computer. If Vista came as an "upgrade" from a system that was purchased with XP, contact the company that you purchased your computer from. If you purchased Vista separately, contact Microsoft and explain to them the situation. They may be able to work with you if you provide proof of purchase somehow, through receipt, credit charge, or check records.
