Who is a better parent mom or dad?

My mom is who I can relate to the most. Thats probaly because she is a woman and I am.

They both are great - the dad tends to do more fun things with the child, while the mother nurses and cares for the child more than the dad and is usually more understanding than the dad. I am really close to my mom, and the child usually also is very close to the mom. I would say that the mom is the better parent, but thats just me

There's no answer to that question on a general level. You can't define parenting by sex. If you asked specifically who was a better parent in a specific case..... then one may be able to tell you which person was better. Otherwise.....a man can be a better parent than a woman, and a woman can be a better parent than a man, it just depends on the people.

That's kind of a stupid question. There's no better or more important. You need both because each has a very important role in the upbringing of their kids. Growing up without either will have an impact on your life whether you realize that or not. Now, sometimes either one can be a bad person for whatever reasons and that's a totally different thing.

Mom. It's just by nature. They are biologically and emotional better nutures than men. Of course there exists exeptions when Dad is better parent but generally, it's Mom.

I think this is on a case by case basis.

However, if MY KIDS were answering this question, they better say "MOM"...b/c I do everything for them, I up with them in the middle of the night when they are puking, I go to all their baseball games/dance recitals, I'm always there to listen to their problems or arguments they're having with friends, I'm the one that goes to school for parent/teacher conferences, I make their lunches and dinners everyday. Essentially, I'm there for them for everything, through everything. I will always be there for them.

Mostly moms because they have an in born ability (this is totally my opinion-nothing scientific) but also some dads are better parents (but I don't know why!)

Moms are the providers of structure, rules, needs: physical and emotional while dads take the time to play. One isn't necessarily better.....

I love both my parents and there both good at it, but my dad is just a big kid himself so he's good at understanding what me and my other sibling's are going throw and he knows how to have fun and he's a good listener. (Don't get me wrong my mom's awesome too!)

I think Mom; Obviously, we're both girls so I can talk to her about things I wouldn't even consider talking to my dad about.
