Ionized hydrogen has no electrons left. It's just a proton. So it can't have atomic (or even nuclear) energy levels.

Completely ionized hydrogen has no electrons, but there are energy states in the atom less than complete ionization, and these produce both absorption and emission spectrum. See http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect/light/absorption.html

You should not take the statement to mean that hydrogen has no absorption spectrum.
