They were built by well paid artisans who lived in a village near the building site. They were able to move bricks by etching holes into logs and then rolling them. Orginally there was a sort of ramp scaffolding that was slowly taken down after the construction ended.

I believe those "not of this world" had a hand in that and other structures throughout the history and culture of this planet, through various time periods. Peru's Nazca lines, Macchu Picchu, Stonehenge, Great Pyramids, the crystal skulls, Easter Island statues, etc....

The pyramids were built by dark skinned Afrikan people and all of Ancient Kemit's (ancient egypt's) massive statues and tombs and temples were constructed thousands of years before coming in contact with ANYONE from the north (including Arabs or Europeans) as were their written language and mastery of mathematics, science, agriculture, astronomy, asrology, physics, medicine, spiritual science and so on.

lots of the pyramids existed until eventually now the Jews even have been given there, so some have been geared up with the aid of Egyptians and a few have been geared up with the aid of Jews. (there is the Black Pyramid which replaced into geared up with dirt/straw bricks)

Slave workers for the Egyptians who could have come from any one of dozens of other countries. The stones were floated to the site on barges and the water level raised as needed by dams and levees. The desert didn't come until later, after the site was drained.
