I don't know, really. I mean this question puts me in conflict. I don't want to be anywhere near my parents or brothers, but, still, I miss the family too. With my brothers we used to make my Mom laugh so hard she would wet herself. My dad would turn purple and we all would be holding our sides begging for everyone to stop cracking jokes. But, then the attitudes would start to surface. Arrogance, petty sibling rivalry (I make more than they do and I'm the baby of the family) all this leads to someone saying something flat out evil and then the fists start flying, teeth need replacing, a gun shot goes off..... That may be an exaggeration?

It depends on your family upbringing. In some families like ours you were expected to get a job and support yourself with no help as soon as high school was completed. There was none of the pampering that kids receive today. I would say that is was it was like for most families 100 years ago because they had large families. In today's culture college is considered a must. Call it old school upbringing or whatever they didn't really care if you failed because they couldn't afford to. I promised myself that I would never raise children by those standards. I don't believe in it.
