If you are ignorant, then you probably don't know if you are blissful or not! So, I don't think ignorance is really bliss. We, as onlookers, might find ignorance as bliss as ignorant people are oblivious to the troubles of daily life, however to the person himself, I doubt he feels any better than us, the onlookers. Also, if ignorance was bliss, then why be humans, and why not go back to being animals? I think we can all answer this questions in our heads, as truly anyone would prefer to not be ignorant. Thus, I say that ignorance truly is not bliss, and if it is, then that is not the bliss that I would want......

Yes ignorance really is a bliss. The way people lives ignoring the people in needs in the other part of the world is a bliss. While we live in our comfortable houses, the people on the otherside of the world doesn't even have a roof to shelter them. Everday people ignore things so that it won't interfere with their perfecrt world. Yes ignorance is bliss. I see that everyday and admit doing that too.

I agree with the first answer. Innocence is bliss. I guess on some level though you could consider innocence to be ignorance. So yes, ignorance is bliss.

Only if you are ignorant of a terrible thing. For instance I was perfectly happy before I knew that my husband was cheating on me with other women. In that case ignorance was bliss.

Nope. Bliss is bliss, whether you know something or not. Ignorance makes it easier to be blissful if you don't know the bad stuff but it also makes it easier to be deluded. And that's no fun.

no... everything in real life has consequences.. every choice you make, everything you decide to do AND even everything that you don't decide to do... ignorance sets you up to make wrong or ill informed decisions... so it really 'screws you up' in the long run... so even if it might seem that 'ignorance is bliss' ..its only seems so in the short run

Until the truth catches up with you. Personally, I'd rather know what's going on. I can prepare better that way. I'm not big on nasty surprises.
