Eagles, hands down, by far the best for the more country rock kinda feel. If you want southern rock and rock from the 70's then go with:

Queen.
Reasons: A talented, fun-loving, larger-than-life lead singer, pianist and frontman. The lead guitarist (who also writes, sings and plays piano sometimes) actually MADE his own guitar as a kid from an old mantle piece and motor cycle parts, and he is STILL playing the same guitar. The drummer writes and sings, as well as plays drums like nobody's business. Along with this drummer, the uber-talented bassist creates a tight, catchy rhythm. By the way ,the bassist also plays rhythm guitar. They are all so talented that it's hard to focus on just one.
Another reason: They gave the world some of the best tunes in music history. We will rock you, we are the champions, bohemian rhapsody, another one bites the dust, radio ga ga and many more...

the question should be i'll give ten points to whoever can guess what i think the best band ever is. nope, can't do that. i do not think there is any ONE BEST BAND, and that's a good thing in my opinion. so i'll just give you a band i like ..the 13th Floor Elevators. they are not anywhere near my favorite, but there ain't no band cooler (not even the Velvet Underground) and Roky Erickson is a true madman. I like the Stooges better though.

Black Stone Cherry is an awsome southern not basic rock band with clean classic rock impacts. Halestorm is an awsome band as properly, their singer, Lzzy Hale, is my everyday vocalist now. additionally Priestess is a enormously stable band, very bluesy not basic rock. regulate Bridge is a superb band as properly. you probable alreay recognize of The Foo combatants, upward push against, and inspect steel Panther.

I don't know what the best band ever would be. For everyone it would be different depending on what genre they like.
My favorite right now is Rascall Flatts. And I would like to dedicate their song "My Wish" to Wayward Drifter, Large Marge, Buk, and all my "homies" here on P&S.
Corny? Yes. But you guys all mean a lot to me!
