Six Canadian soldiers and an Afghan interpreter were killed Wednesday when their armoured RG-31 Nyala vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (roadside bomb) on a well-used road in the Panjwaii district, about 20 kilometres southwest of the city of Kandahar, in southern Afghanistan. Military official Brig.-Gen. Tim Grant told the sombre news in a conference with reporters at Kandahar base, he said the soldiers had just finished searching a village for Taliban fighters when they were killed.

This type of terrorism is flourishing in Iraq, & now many extremist fighters from the Arab region are flocking to Afghanistan with once again an invite by the Taliban to create the same chaos. How does the Afghan people, Pakistan Government & NATO combat a small percent of radicals, who don't care about Afghanistan or Pakistan, or the innocent people who deserve to live in peace in these countries!

The story from the Cinn.,Ohio medical clinic. Their policy on smoking has gone to extremes. It isn't the fact that no one can smoke at their facilities,it is the fact that they will not hire anyone who smokes.Anyone who wants to work there has to submit to an urine test.Anyone who works there now and is a smoker has to quit. They can't smoke in their own homes and still have a job with the clinic.If I were a young female nurse,smoker or not, I would not work under this kind of policy. Next they will be telling the nurses when they can get pregnant and when they can't.

How many young women or young girls and pregnant women are being kidnapped and murdered these days, that's what is scaring me. I have a 21 year old daughter and nothing scares me more than seeing that video of that young girl being snatched from the Target store, or pregnant women and their unborn child being murdered by their husbands or lovers. It's really terrifying!

The stories about our Veterans not being given the right kind of medical help. It makes me sick that people gave their lives for our country and then we don't take care of their medical and emotional needs when they come home.
