Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where is the bathroom?

You must live in the USA because here in Europe people point to their crotch when they ask the time

i posted this question a few days ago and the way it was explained to me is that pointing at the wrist is the universal sign for time and that there is no urinal to point at when asking where the bathroom is.

If someone pointed to their crotch, I think someone may get the wrong impression and think it is a sexual invitation. Now... that would get you in trouble!!!
