"color" or "colour"?

Thank Mr. Webster for this one. When the US was beginning he wanted to make the American language different from the British language without changing the entire language. Therefore while compiling a dictionary of the American language he chose to drop letters from British words to 'Americanize' them. Favourite and colour were two of those words.

It depends on whether or not you live in the US, the UK or Canada, both of the latter use favourite and colour.

Both are correct.

The difference is one of national custom, not of grammar. UK uses 'favourite colour'; US uses 'favorite color'.

Well, in each country there is a different way of spelling words. If your proudly Canadian you're more likely to spell stuff with u more often. In USA they more likely spell words without a u! It doesn't matter gramatically, but justbe sureyour spelling words correctly in the right place.
