If it's an unweighted coin, then there is a 1 out of 2 (50%) chance of getting a heads or tails every time.

For example... it is fair to toss one coin to determine who gets the ball in football, because it is totally random. The more times you toss a coin, the more likely it is that it will be 50% or very close to it every time.

Try this... go to the website below and enter "10" for the number of tosses. It is not likely that you will get 50%. Enter 1,000 tosses and you will get close to 50%.

Have fun and a star for a great question!

Both sides have a one half chance of being flipped. The chances are the same because both sides take up an equal amount of space on the coin.

50% chance of heads.
50% chance of tails.
Yes they are perfectly the same.

The "weight" of the image on one side of the coin vs. the weight of the image on the other side is negligible. Okay, maybe it increases the odds to 50.0000001% to 49.9999999% over time.

And if you flip a coin again, it makes absolutely no difference which side it started on or what the results were the previous time. It's still 50/50.

yes it is..coz you have the same amount..you see you have 50/50 chance so it could be either..its a possibility, if you draw out all the possibilities then you'll end up an equal amount of chances for a coin with one side "heads" and one side "tails"

It depends upon the turns tooked in a flip. If head is on the upper side of the thumb then it will land in taking 2,4,6,8,10 or16 turns. If it takes 3,5,7or11 turns, then tail will lands.

There is nothing to indicate that there is a difference in probabilities between events, so the probability of each must be assumed to be 0.50.
