If you rent an apartment that they showed you, but not through them, maybe directly with the owner, and you signed some sort of contract with them, then yes the agent still has a right to their fee. It's more common for the agent fees to be paid by the landlord.

Unless you went and signed something that said you would, no. Generally with rentals if a realtor is involved it's because the landlord hired them, so they would pay any commission.

Nope, the landlord pays the commsion

If a relator ever wants commsion from you being the renter
I would run---I have never ever heard of this

It depends on the contract you signed with them & how they are to be paid. If you didn't sign a contract I can't see how you can be obligated to pay.
