I don't like the inflicting of pain on other people in all its forms for no good reason. Pain is inevitable, but should serve a purpose, such as further growth and development.

Cigarette smoking. I was able to give up others--but that nicotine really has me hooked. I have asked to be hypnotized, but the answer was 'no'. I do not have strong will-power, and my brother became very ill when he tried the patch, pill, gum, etc.
