It all depends on what your using it for. The only reason i would go for Mac is if i was just doing stuff like music video stuff. Then your best bet is Mac becuase its just built to handle this kinda stuff. But if your doing anything else go with PC with Vista you are much safer then what it used to be with viruses. And becuase every one uses Microsoft and PC every program is made for PC.

At the moment, I don't see much of a reason to get a Windows laptop. To start with, laptops are not very expandable. That's always been where Apple desktops lose to a Windows desktop. However, we are discussing laptops here.

As stated so many times before, it depends upon what you're using the laptop for. If you're looking to do some creative work (i.e. music, photo, video editing), pick a Mac. If you are not going to do any of that, and you understand that what you are using the computer for is not processor-intensive, pick a PC. It's cheaper (to start with), and will do what you want it to.

Personally, I prefer Apple computers. There are fewer viruses (and yes, that is because nobody wants to write a virus for a Mac, because it's only about 5% of the market share), and a current Mac can run both Mac OS X and Windows. You get the best of both worlds. If you really want to, I think that you can even run Linux. (I don't see why you wouldn't be able to...)

If your specific needs for the computer lean toward art and creativeness, go with a Mac. If you are mainly going to be editing Word documents, go with a cheap Windows laptop. If you're doing both, go with the Mac. Install Windows, and do everything Windows can do, right there on your Mac. Plus, Macs look cooler. (In my opinion, so nobody go slamming this part of my answer please.)

It all depends. A Macbook is easier to use, is safer (no viruses) and their customer service gets top ratings in Consumer Reports. There is a some limitation on what software you can run, there are fewer games for a Mac. If you are going to attend a college and majoring in art or photography, odds are they use Macs. The advantages of a PC notebook, like a Dell, the budget version is usually cheaper, there is more software for it (including games). If you get a budget PC version by the time you add anti-virus software, etc. the prices are similar. I have a Macbook, it came with all the software I needed and is wireless. I have had no problems.

It really depends on what you would use it for. If its for photo editing, video making/editing I would suggest a mac. Sure the pc does have certain programs where you can do videos, but most of the programs that are used by the industry are only available on mac. But pc's are the least expensive, and any adobe product can be used on pc's as well.

I think you can't go wrong with either one..but if you choose a pc..think about maybe a dell.

Definately a mac! Their 100x more efficient than a pc. PC have 144,000 viruses and counting, macs have only a small handful if that.

Another reason, if your a musician, video editor, graphic designer, photographer -- macs are the industry standard.

The operating system (current OSX Tiger), is alot stronger than any Windows Operating System.

The new Operating System for windows Vista, is complete garbage. It looks nice but is a very weak operating system.

Mac is 50+% more expensave than PC, support is not as good Most PC repaire places dont support Mac. Mac is harder to get to to replace things such as Hard drives. and Software is more limited than PC.
The reason Mac dont get viruses as often is becasue there
less then 5% of the market.
and anti virus is not expensave, it's about 20 dollars, or you can get free anti virus (AVG)
Dell notebooks start about 5-600
Office is 150 (Student Version No dif than full ver)
Security, NAV 30 Spyware Microsoft Windows Defender (FREE)
you are looking about 780 fro a Dell Note book

If you're an artist - i.e. musician, photographer, or filmmaker, go with a Mac, because the software in those fields generally runs on Macs. Otherwise buy a Windows computer.

A Mac Book Pro can run OSX(mac) & windows operating systems. Best of both worlds.

I've got both, and I love my Macbook. The PC is very handy and powerful and it was so cheap. The Macbook is small, lightweight, beautiful, has a great screen and it just works all the time, never crashes!

It would really depend on your budget, your experience of using computers, and what you want it for.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Mac. Because they're better. Microsoft/Windows just flat out sucks. Go with the Mac and thank me later. :)
