I dont have enough for a dyson,as much as i would like one. So, i only have a hundred to spend and i need the vacuum asap. So its not as if i have time to save up and get the one i want.

What would you recommend?

There are many vacs better than a dyson, the company i work for runs Henry's or Numatics as they are called in the trade, you can pick one up with a rotating brush head for just over £100, you can use it without a bag but it is better to use one.
Please don't buy a Dyson they are over hyped rubbish (in my opinion) check out the net for some good prices on Henry's.

I would recommend that you go to a vacuum repair shop and buy an older model vacuum that is "refurbished".. It's been fully repaired.. It just might be an older model... If you can get a used Kirby that would be awesome, but an older model Hoover with the bags is nice too... $100 isn't going to buy you much of a new style vacuum, but the older styles perform better than some of the new vacuums... I regret getting rid of my old Hoover my mom gave me.. I bought a cheapie and it didn't last 6 months... That's just my 2 cents worth.. Good luck

For £45 you can buy a Morphy Richards POD pet cleaner. It is small, very light, not at all clumsy, easy to store, and shifts pethair better than any Dyson. I have had two Dysons; found them massive, clumsy, awkward and so heavy I sprained my wrist using one; they are ludicrously over-priced, and you sure as hell cant carry them upstairs. The little POD is truly brilliant (no,I don't work for MR- I am a disabled pensioner!)

I've got a Morphy Richards Performair, it's bagless, it only cost me £72 and it's a lot better than my old Dyson.

I'll never buy another Dyson again.

Numatic Henry is one of the best, I have just bought one for £89 from Tesco, I don't like Dysons especially the uprights, they are so heavy! and difficult when you have to carry them upstairs.

I have a miele and thats really good, what I recommend is going to www.amazon.co.uk as you can often get a really good one for a lot less than in the shops. Also if you register with www.topcashback.co.uk you get money back too!
