i was talking to my best friend about it and this is how she feels (shes very old fashioned about most things):
guys should pay when they go out with their girlfriends and if the girl offers to pay, they should insist otherwise
guys should always pull out the chair, open the car door,hold the door, etc.
its a guys responsibility to have safe sex (i think she meants like even if the girl doesnt want to????)
guys should insist on women being housewives and take care of them if they dont want to work
guys shouldnt be the "head of household" in a marriage
she also thinks guys are naturally weak so they shouldnt be held as accountable for cheating as a female would.....personally i disagree with everything she said other than the "head of household" thing. what do you think?

Guys should pay? Guys should be ready to pay because so few women reach for the check but women today work so they should pay at least some of the time.
Pullng out chairs, opening doors? That 's just good manners. It's not the end of the world if a guy doesn't but he should.
Safe sex? I agree that a guy should take responsibility but, the woman is the one that gets pregnant and every woman should take responsibility for this herself. All guys should be responsibile and I think most will be but, trusting someone else with such a big responsibility is stupid.
Insist on women being housewives? Nope. I would prefer that either my wife or I were at home if we had kids. I hate people dumping their kids in daycare but sometimes you have to. But a woman should have say in what she wants to do with her life.
Not being the head of the household? I think whoever brings home the dough is head of the household but, in your friends case, if the guy is taking care of her, he's the head of the household.
Responsible for cheating? Guys can be quite weak when it comes to women but still, cheating is cheating and everyone should be held responsible for it.
Sounds to me like your friend is lazy and self centered and she just wants a sugar daddy to pay her way through life. If she doesn't care if he is cheating, it probably means that she is looking to cheat on him. She doesn't seem to want a relationship with a man as much as she wants a servant and someone to pay for everything. I think your friend has a lot of growing up to do.
