Short version to a long story. I work in Radiology. This lady was trying to pawn her daughters off on me. She asked if I were married and had children. I told her no. She said that she had four beautiful single daughters all without children. I'm thinking to myself "Gee that's nice ( o _ 0 )." So she asks what time I got off of work and if I'd like to meet them. I told her that I'm working 12 plus hour shifts and that I wouldn't be available. So she asks, "What? You don't like girls or something?" ( o _ 0 ) So I respond with, "Yes I like girls but tomorrow may be a different issue." ( ^ _ ^ ) The words just flew right out of my mouth. Do you think I was rude?

Actually, we as people know when we are being rude or sarcastic. I was being sarcastic ( ^ _ ^ ) because she wouldn't let up.

No you weren't being rude or sarcastic. The lady should have had her mind on why she was in Radiology and not on 'hooking you up.' Better you than me... Honeychild... I would have really embarrassed her and then let her know my sexuality is not up for discussion especially with a total stranger. Now.....

I consider myself an authority on sarcasm. Based on this, you weren't sarcastic at all but rather honest and funny. The woman was the sarcastic one with her snide "What? You don't like girls or something?" remark, questioning your orientation. It's none of her business. Either way, even if you were slightly curious, I'd ask to see pictures!

No you were not rude, she was rude!! To say "What? You don't like girls?" IS rude and non of her business. Besides it is strange of her to promote her daughters that way. I am sure the girls would be embarrassed.
Yes you were sarcastic, but extremely polite :-)

Sounds to me like she was just trying to push one of her daughters off on someone she thought was in a good financial situation.
I think what she was doing was rude. If it had not been for her behavior, you would not have had to resort to such a rude remark.

i don't believe you were rude...
the words may have flew out of your mouth...
but these things happen to us... sometimes when we say something like that we don't realise it till the look..
i think you know what i mean by that....then we start covering up for ourselves...
to me, the lady was very rude to you... to try parving her daughters off to ya....
don't ya think?
