I don't think i could pick a favorite, Monk, Veronica Mars, Nancy Drew and The Hardy boys, I do love Sam and Gene from Life On Mars but their police so I don't know if they would count

My favourite television detective is Sherlock Homes because he is such a good and realistic actor. Sherlock Holmes keep it up. Great work.

My two favorites aren't exactly detectives but I like Monk cause he's good and can solve anything and the why is because like columbo he drives you crazy. Then there is Dresden and he'll solve anything supernatural .

my favorite private detective is Jim Rockford cause jims a mans man and doesnt carry a gun so its more realistic than say magnum pi or Barnaby Jones guys like that and Jim always getting into trouble witch is funny

there is only one T.V. detective and thats the one eyed, cigar smoking, clapped out car driving, always talking to the kill all the way thru the program, Columbo!!!! All the rest fade in to insignificance in his presence!!

not sure its either Monk cause hes crazy funny with his phobia or sean from Psych because he acts like a lunatic all of the time trying to get people to believe that hes a psychic both funny cant chose also like Veronica Mars so sad it was cancelled
