The Net is not typical of most Americans behaviors and mindsets. It attacts the naughty and marginal. Change the world by doing justly and humanely what we can in our relationships with ourselves and others.

Not too much courage. They say just say, "I'm not racist It's only a joke." If I say "that's not funny." and if they keep it up I just politely leave. I don't see any sense in saying, "if you keep that up I'm leaving", but maybe if you don't see them every day. They are usually people who are so low you almost feel sorry for them. Sometimes I think they just like to get anyones goat on anything, attention, like children or they're a little retarded. Some kids didn't get much response from their parents except that way and it became a habit. People say all sorts of things to be mean or get at you, if they don't like you for some reason that you might be able to get at or low self esteem. If you can't stand up you have to cut others down and lower and lower we all go. If you ignore children they will have to do something good to get your attention usually. Frankly, to understand it is like trying to understand insanity, it's just not reasonble or understandable. How can you find a sensible reason for nonsense except wrong ideas or unhappiness that's catchy and makes you feel bad also? Misery loves company. They just can't do anything about it so they blame someone else. Isn't that how we do? Studies show we're all progammed by two or three and we don't even know what's in our head and why we do what we don't want to do. I don't think we want to think that we are just animals. We are entering a new time when we are finally reaching humanhood. Not everyone has gotten it yet, like VA Tech and Columbine, two school shootings. The continueing pressures require a whole new way of using the mind, the Conceptual Age that we're all comming into which is a radical shift. That relieves all the pressure for those who get it, but increases it for those who don't. Not everyone without a conscience is dangerous, but some are.

Its not the racism that I would worry about , its the violence and hatered . Would it be right to make everybody the same religion and think the same way you do ? Maybe we should make everybody not cheer for there favorite football team because they are not supporting a team they dont like . Again its not whether you like or dislike a culture or group or what you think about them , it is how you treat these people that matters . What does it matter if a yankee likes or dislikes people from the south ?
People that jump on the anti racist bandwagon do it because they want to feel superior to other people which is a hypocritical view . Now if you wanted to help anybody that was being mistreated , then you would have a point .

What is funny is that we think we can change people...we can not help those that do not think they have a problem. I make it a point to not be a stereoype and never ever act bigoted and this I feel is my means of fighting racism.
I do pity those that are so bigoted and pray that one day something will inspire them to change...but I cannot waste my life worrying over them..there are millions of other people in the world.

i suppose. but it would be impossible. some humans think with equality. some humans have more hiearchal minds, and like to organize people in levels of greatness/intelligence.
It really doesn't matter to me-- sure i'd like people to think intelligently and equally, but some people were just born with their heads stuck up their butts.
The real bigots-- there is no way to change their minds. But the people who think this and that about races can only be educated by their parents/loved ones and by positive media influence.

Honestly...not everyone is racist. But everyone thinks racists thoughts. Its not a matter of education. No matter how accepting you are, you dont drive through black neighborhoods or if you have to you always make sure your doors are locked, you clutch your purse when you see a black person or walk on the other side of the street. Doing these things isnt racism, its just protecting yourself.

You can't change a person no matter how hard you try. Ignorant people are stubborn in their ways.
