not a homeowner , anyway now 2 years later i cant keep my head above water and im having alot of trouble paying my loan back, does anyone know of any other help out there for katrina survivors?

I am from Louisiana and was also offered the same type of loan. From what I understand from people in the same boat as you, you can ask to pay only the interest for 6 months and in those 6 months take action and seek grant money which doesn't have to be paid back. You should really contact your congressman, such as Charlie Melancon, he can help you get a grant that would pay your loan off.

You could file bankruptcy, SBA isn't protected like student loans and taxes as far as I know.
