For all our country's foibles and imperfections, there is so much I am proud of: our system of government (with checks and balances), public education for all, the land's natural beauty, etc. But without a doubt, I am most proud of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. These documents were radical and revolutionary at the time they were written and they still ensure we have more freedoms than any other people on earth.

Other Americans make me proud to be an American. When I see folks showing compassion and kindness to others, I am proud. When I see an elder (probably a veteran) stop and look reverently at the American flag, pride and thankfulness well up in my heart. I hear someone with an angelic voice sing our national anthem and it humbles me to my knees. The list goes on and on. I am so very proud to be an American! May the Creator bless you abundantly! Annie
