6P+3 is the answer
you take the parenthesis off the first part and u have
P+P+1+2(2P+1)

then you add
2P+1+2(2P+1)

then you multiply the 2
2P+1+4P+2

then you add like terms
2P+4P=6P 1+2=3 6P+3

Tackle the last term first because that's the only one that needs to be multiplied thru:
2(2P + 1) multiply every term inside the parenthesis by the term outside to get 4P + 2

The other terms don't need parenthesis because there are no multiplications, just simple addition. You get
T = P + P + 1 + 4P + 2
Now add up the P's to get 6P and add the 1 and 2 to get 3
T = 6P + 3

I can help! Since the first parantheses comes after an addition sigh, you can just take away the parantheses :) The next set has a two in front, which means you multiply the whole set inside the parantheses by 2. So, your new equation can look like this....
T=P+P+1+4P+2...then youcan add the P's, and add the other numerals.
So....T=6P+3.

Hope this helps!

T=6P + 3 ... I'm glad it was addition.. If the parenthesis items were multiplied together, you would have had to use factoring.
