Don't worry about being remembered, or you will actually forget what you are here for - to realize your soul purpose.

Being forgotten is the rule or rather a good norm out here in this creation; otherwise it would be tough to live in the present, with all the burden of the past. No wonder, we not even remember what all we did in our last lifetime, though it all lives in us, as the gifts we carry forward. That way nothing is lost, and everything is.

If you begin to see yourself as energy, you will forever be part of this creation, and someday, some great person will breathe you in, just as you might be breathing in, Jesus, Buddha or Moses, right now for that matter.

As for really being forgotten, look at God, how many people remember Him, for creating this universe. Some today even refute His very existence. So it is ok, if a few people forget us, a few years from now. They can be forgiven for that, I believe. But the interesting thing is that despite all that He still quietly lives on, in us, so do our forefathers, and human ancestors that appear to have been forgotten many generations on.

So, just be happy right now, and you'd be fine. Just do your own thing, fearlessly.

Beyond that, who cares what people think of us, two hundred years from now, what matters is what we think of ourselves right now.

And what really matters is how well, do we realize our purpose here on earth, this time around.

The point must be to make sure you're not forgotten in 100 years or even 1000

The way not to be forgotten, to me anyway, is to do something worthy of remebrance a century from now. Invent an alternate fuel source! Cure AIDS! Solve the world hunger problem! Figure out a way to get rid of pollution!

Just a few ideas to get you started. :)

the way to not be forgotten is threw the history of your family, make sure and ask your relatives about those family members who have passed on, relay this information to your children and young members of your family, and hopefully they will do the same, you also, besides just an oral history, write it down, for future generations, a family tree, but also a description of the person, their likes/dislikes etc, events in their lives,,,,,,
