I teach in a post-graduate creative writing program, and a technique I use a lot with those writers is to have them look at writing that they themselves love to read. I teach them to pull it apart in terms of how it catches and keeps their interest.
You could do the same. Who are the writers who you think are really interesting? Is it the contents of what they write about, or the way in which they write that holds your attention? If it's the contents and what you're writing about bores you, then find something more interesting to write about! But if you like writers who could be riveting while writing about how grass grows, make note of how they unfold their writing, sentence by sentence. What are the things they do to grab and hold your attention? Study their methods...and steal them!

Use your imagination, be creative, be original. When writing blogs use exclamation marks to show it's interesting. While you are writing think that if you read it is it interesting or not. You could also type blog writer tips either on yahoo! or google search engine or bar. Happy Blog Writing.
P.S. When I read a blog I don't like too many details and I love it when someone expresses feelings or reactions.

Re-evaluate, first, your motivations for writing. What do you have to say? And about what? About things you know, or are you more interested in creating, viz., literature, dramaturgy?
Cameron Crowe is an example of an author who has made the right decisions as regards writing, moreover, even as a teenager.
Finally, what sort of people do you want to be interested in your output? Knowing who these people are and catering to their tastes will be very important. People who are intensely interested in others create a "push-pull" dynamic that captures our attention. That's how blogs become popular.

Blogs are about your life. Or... you can use them to tell fictional stories. Make sure the readers know it's not true, but it would be more fun to make up things. When you make it up, you can be whatever you want.
My blogs aren't all that interesting. I just tell it like it is. My friends think they're funny sometimes, but I'm no comedian. You can make jokes out of anything.
Good luck on blogging!
