Well, I guess that would depend on which of "My Independence's" you speak of.
My independence in my country? Mostly, but I feel a lot of changes need to be mafe in our government.
My Independence from my marriage (recently divorced)? No I don't celebrate that yet.
My Independence in running my own life? Yes, I am grateful to be in control of my own life for the most part (we never have full control now do we?)
My Independence in expressing who I am?? Yes, most definitely.

Do you know what Independence is all about?
Country not being rule by foreigner will have no experience in what independence is all about.
The taste of Independent is the most greatest achievement for a country being rule by foreigner for a very long time.
My country, Malaysia is being rule by foreigner at over more than 400 years. The Portuguese, The Dutch and The British.
We achieve our independent from the British on 31st August, 1957. Shortly, My be love country Malaysia will celebrate the 50 years of Nationhood and anniversary of our independence on 31st August, 2007.
We Malaysian, each and everyone of us will celebrate our Independent anniversary.
I am inviting you Mr. Seeker and all of you who read my 'Yahoo! Answer' to come and visit Malaysia the multi-racial and difference culture as citizen of Malaysia living in unity and peace to celebrate our own Grand celebration of 50 years of Nationhood and Independent anniversary of Malaysia.

Well, kinda......I am proud that I've stood by my own values. As far as my countries independence.......I'm glad we (U.S.A.) got our freedom, but I hate what we did to the Indians.
