Not as long as you do not become conceited or selfish. You have to have a level of self worth in order to believe anyone even GOD can love you, or else you become manic depressive and do not believe you can be loved by anyone.Put others first though, this is selfless and you won't be sorry, but not to the point of where you cannot take care of yourself.

well i'll still answer even tho this is the wrong category....

There's nothing with loving yourself, it's the degree of self-love that separates a healthy self-esteem/ego from big-headedness.

It's actually healthy to believe in yourself to a degree, and be happy about yourself. Just don't get carried away, 'cos then that's just obnoxious.

Look at it this way: hating one's self can be self-destructive, so to avoid that, a certain degree of inner acceptance/belief/love is needed for your self-esteem. It boosts your self-confidence. Nothing wrong with that.

You have to love yourself before anyone can fully love you. If you dont love you how you do expect anyone else too? Just dont get too full of yourself, that in itself is very unattractive.

It is important to love yourself, however, it's sometimes not easy to do. (for me at least) When you finally learn to love & accept the person you are, then you are ready to give & receive love from others. Forgiving yourself is an important step to loving yourself.
