Punishments in order of severity, least to worst:
mom yelling
mom spanking (when she could catch us. (lol))
dad yelling (and turing red)
dad spanking (yeoch)
dad lecturing... the most painful, excruciating thing... we begged for a spanking: after the 2nd hour of lectures we begged to be put out of our misery!

Plenty of Spankings... But I Turned out Just Fine.
The Last One I received I was a Bit Too Old for.... also it was unwarranted.... I grabbed the end of the Belt and swung My Dad through a sheet rock wall. He never laid a hand on me again after that :p
:-) I haven't ever spanked My Kids the way I had Been, except for once when my daughter was jumping on a railing and I popped her one hard time on the leg when she wouldnt get down. It was about a 40 foot drop into a river and she pretty much always minded after that :-s

My folks tore my behind up. Of course I was a bad kid. The worse tho was Mom with her "switches". She had a special bush for them (I think she grew it just for that purpose LOL)
And she always went for the legs OUCH!!! But neither of my parents struck me in anger. Sometimes it was days before I received my spanking. And by that time it wasn't nearly as bad. But I appreciate every spanking I ever got. I deserved them and they did teach me valuable lessons.

i think i probably got a total of 2 or 3 spankings when i was about 2 years old. that's it.

Never remember being spanked. My siblings always said I was spoiled because I had a fatal blood disorder when I was 3, and almost didn't make it. I do remember being yelled at, but never spanked.

I got spankings, and I gave my daughter spankings when she was young. I think it helped us both develop a good respect for authority.

got a few spankings and should have received more than I did. but mostly a talking to, especially when I was old enough to understand the reasons behind the punishment.

My mother was a firm believer in spanking. Man o'man I was always getting hit for something (I was such a little devil). When I got older though she tried using the talking method ... but it never really worked. I put her through so much crap.
