While many Israeli leaders from both sides of the political spectrum would welcome Israeli Ascension into the EU, as dose the public as a whole it is unlikely to happen due to the fact that Israel Geographically lies in the Middle East.
What Israel might get (after all the major problems are settled) is all the benefits just short of EU membership.

Israel is not interested in becoming a member of the EU. Why would Israel even entertain such a thought when it is located in the Mid East???

If you study Biblical prophecy, it's amazing how indicative it is of what is happening this very day and age, and amazing just how accurate it is in showing just where our world is headed.
My prediction? Israel won't join the EU, nor will the United States support them forever. Perhaps within just a matter of a few years... Israel will stand alone, with all the world against her and her people.

I don't think Israel is interested in becoming a member of the EU, nor is the EU interested in having Israel join.

considering Israel is in the middle east, it would be kind of stupid for either side to consider them joining the EU. besides, I don't believe either side has the slightest interest in the other.
