Drugs have always been a problem for Al Gore. As a student at Vanderbilt Divinity School he flunked out because he never attended classes while being high on pot. When he ran for president in 2000, his mentor and the man who got Al involved in politics, Whit LaFon, his uncle and mother's brother, was indicted by the FBI for drug trafficing. Ever wonder why Al Gore couldn't carry his home state of Tennessee? Answer: his close association with his uncle. If he had carried Tennessee, Florida would have been a moot point and Al would have been in the Oval Office in 2001.
