It's both, because people can use it in art or science. In art, it can be used in music, architecture, a lot of things like fractals and symmetry art work and so on and so forth. . In science, well, it is used in all science, chemistry, physics, and so on.

A degree in Math is an Arts degree. A degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, etc., is a Science degree.
