i love music and editing things so i think i will like it but i don't know where to get my stuff and i don't have a lot of money to work with so i thought about renting any ideas ????????

I agree, Ive been DJ'ing for about 8 years now and I got my start as an assistant in a large company. Not only will you gain invaluable knowledge and experience, but most well established DJs can get really good, and i mean like half off, deals on equipment. Even after only 8 years, Ive established myself with the help of the guy that I started under enough to get good deals on things like mics and CD decks. Plus with being at a young age, there might be a whole lot about music that some of the older vets can teach you. If your in it for the love, its definitely worth the time to start out with a mentor or something like that first.

go to a pawn shop, when i started out i lucked into 2 technique 1210's for $100 a piece because the owner thought they were just record players. You can find a good mixer for cheap.

thats cool youre taking an interest!
know anybody else that has gear? (cd-tables, turntables, etc)
you can demo on those before you shell out money...
how about visiting sam ash or guitar center?
hit up the pawn shops too.
theres also pc-dj software if you want to go that route.
good luck though. its pretty darn rewarding.

I earn money by washing the car, its a pound i earn there
