hire some day laborers. they could move your whole lawn across the street for a few hundred bucks.

Most all the mowers have either briggs and stratton or tecumseh engines. Either one is reliable. Honda uses their own of course but the price of a honda is a bit out of line. Any mower with the features you want with a bit of care will last for years. They all need to be serviced, cleaned and protected. Wash and dry it after use, change the oil and filters and they will last a long time. My suggestion is look for the one that does what you need and get the one with the best price.

I just read some information that said electric lawn mowers are cheaper to operate than gas mowers.

depend on what your looking for? rider, push, gas, electric. gas mowers Ive had luck with Briggs and straton, kohler, and Honda engines, i would stay away from Tecumseh most manufactures just make the body of the mowers and not the Engine look at the base and how its made and you can ussually find a cheap good one at walmart

pull the air clear out and squirt some gasoline contained in the carb and take a inspect it. it may start up and die. if not examine the plug and examine for spark. if stable spark and no pop see if it has compression in any respect. if not it could have a caught intake valve/undesirable rings/undesirable exhaust valve. if it start up and die the carb desires to come back off and be wiped clean or rebuilt. clean the finished gasoline device in that case. a bad plug could make it start up and die yet not oftentimes.

I don't know about brands, but an electric mower is better for the environment- less gas usage and co2 emissions.

Honda or Snapper. They cost a little more and they last way longer, with a good consistent cut. Keep your blades sharp.
