Just got 4 brand new shirts. They all are 100% cotton with different colours and patterns. How do I wash them using a machine for the first time? What is the setting on the machine (water temp, speed, etc)? Can I wash them all together? Can I wash them with other non-brand new cloth? Do I have to turn them inside out?

How about drying them in a dryer? And, tricks on ironing them?

Had to ask to be sure I keep them in top shape for a long time. Thank you so much!

There should be a tag with instructions on your shirts, either at the back of the neck or somewhere down a left seam. The tags are a pretty good guide.

If there is no tag, wash them in cold water so the colors won't run, and use a cool iron if they do require ironing. As for using a dryer, the trick is to not overdry your clothes. So again, don't use the hottest temperature setting because that will fry your shirts and, not incidentally, your fingers.

Good luck!

I would turn them inside out and wash on cold/permanent press cycle.. With about 1/3 c detergent.... I would either lay flat on a clean towel to dry or hang on a rack w/ a plastic hanger and metal one will leave rust marks...

use cold water, let washer fill, add detergent (note: if using powder detergent, be sure its completely dissolved in the water before adding clothing), add clothing, submerge them, add about 1/2 a cup of "awesome" all purpose cleaner, stir with hands for about 5 minutes, let sit for about 10 minutes then start with regular color cycle. remember to wash them together not with non-brand new clothes.

OK well you need to separate dark, brights, and whites.
you dont need to turn them inside out! and dont wash differnet colors together. ironing is easy just iron the fron and back easy as can be!
dark:cold water, medium speed.

brights: medium water, medium speed

whites: hot water, medium speed (you can use bleach if wanted)

good luck wtih the laundry
