I sort of know what you mean. I really enjoy music of the 40's and the early 50's. Ironically, you wish you were born when I was (1963) and i wish i was born earlier.
What is weird for me is, I didn't really care for 80's disco music at the time (It was 'uncool' for the rockers to like it back then). Those who liked 80's disco back then, really did have a great time dancing to it. Now that I'm older and have no peer pressure, I really love it.
Why not list some of the recording artists you like?

well that would put you in the 60's. There was some great songs back then. Actually the 40's to the 80's was it for me. Sort of on the down hill side starting in the 90's, for me anyway. I'm 55 years old, so I love the old stuff. Lots of memories there.
