There is an absolutely amazing all purpose cleaner that I have discovered. It is called LA's Totally Awesome. I buy it at our local Dollar General. A 20 oz spray bottle of it costs about $2.00. It has proved especially useful with stains on clothing. I've removed grass, grease, ketchup, and yes...CURRY too! If you can't find this product, then try these directions:
This stain can usually be removed by normal washing, as long as this can be done without delay. You can, however, apply a glycerine solution (diluted 1 part to 2 parts water), leave for about an hour to soften the stain then wash in detergent.
If the stain is on white fabric and is stubborn. Before it is allowed to dry, apply a peroxide solution (20 volume strength 1 part to 6 parts water) and then wash again.
Best of luck!
Ben

you could try with white wine , white wine removes red wine stain´s , I have removed many stains by doing this , then once your happy the stain is out use some off your own hair shampoo , wash with a sponge and tepid water ,rinse well then lay a towel over the wet patch with a heavy object on top . This will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet , dry with natural air . You will find this patch of carpet will most likely need another wash at a later date . As sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface

I don't know if this will help you- but just last night, I had to remove ketchup stains from my husband's khaki pants. What I did was soak the area with hydrogen peroxide, then rub liquid hand soap into the area. It worked like a charm.
Good luck!
