I have my suspicions, for someone so unpopular he sure did get a lot of votes in so few days, not to mention passing up Soriano, who has Cub nation to back him.

Of course its a conspiracy. Can you imagine a last day vote jolt of over 150,000?? Not only did he have to magically get these votes, Soriano, who he passed, had to stop getting votes too. Pretty fishy if you ask me....

The fans love him. It's true, and it kills the haters, but there is no conspiracy here. Did you see the reaction when he hit 751? They don't hate him, they love him. They boo him when he steps to the plate, and cheer him when he hits it out of the park. It's the most hypocritical backwards-a ss reaction in the world. You can say that people don't know what to think of him, but he is in no way "unpopular".

He is unequivocally the best offensive OF in baseball this year, so it's not like they messed up or anything.

The problem is Beltran. He is the completely undeserving all-star and the name that stands out to me. He's obviously only there because he plays in New York. Any baseball fan with half a brain would take Matt Holliday over Beltran any day.

I can assure you there is no conspiracy. There has to be player representation from every team and Bonds is the best player on the Giants. His numbers are not "Bonds Like" this year but how can you have an all-star game in San Francisco without him. I don't believe any pressure was put on the managers to put him on the team or leave him off. Why don't we all just sit back and enjoy the game and give Bonds his dues for a great career?

RIGHT! YEAH SURE!

MLB is getting hammered for doing nothing about steroids, and then they are going to cheat to make sure that BONDS makes the all star game as a starter. SURE

Especially, when all they would had to have done would have been to name him as a reserve if they really wanted him at the game

Probably the Bay Area fans and in-siders pumping out the votes. Baseball doesn't want him anywhere around.

Yes, there is no way he is the top vote getter at his position, he gets boo's at every away game he plays at.
