Debating a point of view is one thing. However asking pointless, insulting questions simply to piss people off is not worth bothering with. That's not debate. It's busting chops.

In all fairness to chimpy. Much of what we have here is not debate but bait and argue. Some people get a kick out of baiting others and getting them upset. Some of those are downright mean. They should be blocked. Blocking, if you do it, should be selective. It should only be done against the meanest and most obnoxious of the posters. Otherwise let us have a freewheeling good time.

I didn't know you could block someone from answering your questions.
But I agree with you. If you ask a question, you better be willing to debate the answer. If you already know the answer then don't ask the question.

I haven't noticed that I've been blocked by this user. I don't think I have.
On the other hand, I don't take him very seriously, either. And maybe he also enjoys making fun of me. I don't know.
Don't take the blocking so seriously. It's just Yahoo's attempts to cut down on the reporting wars.

You mean Mr. McFlightsuit?? Probably...I know he'll pull his question alltogether when your answer makes him look like the troll he is...he uses other screen names to answer himself and selectively borrows quotes from other answerers a lot out of context. One of those names is something like Pinche Bush...when I called him "Chimpy" he pulled the question alltogether!

I don't have any problems with Chimpy. His heart is in the right place and although we look at things differently, I can respect that.

You've guessed it! It's like high school all over again for these pathetic people. They NEED affirmation. Why else would they "ask" a question to which they believe they already know the answer? And, when you present them with hard core, verifiable facts, they call you names and throw their sucker in the dirt.

I guess his philosophy is HEAR NO EVIL, SEE NO EVIL. We'll just have to settle for 2 out of 3.
