It is NEVER worth the loss! Hasn't the last century proven that? How much more evidence do you need?

The two are not incompatible. Equality under the law does not mean everyone must be identical. The cross-dressing Latino protestor with a pink mohawk has as much right to march against the war as the leather-and-flag-wearing biker in dreadlocks has to ride in favor of it. In fact, the greatest protection of our individuality is knowing that we will not be discriminated against for expressing it.

I beleive in both. But Bush's Patriot Act is certainly cutting down on our individual privacy.

Being equal doesn't mean being the same, that would really, really suck.
Being equal means i have the same freedoms as everyone else to choose my own life.
