try ceramic crafts. you can paint a lot or a little at a time. they are cheap to get and paints are always on sale at michaels or ac moore.
if you don't have a local ceramics store- shop on ebay.
try bead work. make bracelettes and necklaces.
try making christmas ornaments, they sell kits or you can try to freestyle them
try weaving or knotting,
making friendship bracelettes or keychains
knitting or crochet

Origami
I find it rather therapeutic at times, and usually everyone has some paper in the house. Even old wrapping paper - if you have some,as coloured paper give nicer result too.

Draw or use a drawing program on your computer. Make designs and color them in. Something like that.

It depends on what you have on hand.
If you have paper and pencil you could draw.
If you have perforated paper and floss you could make a bookmark.
If you have beads you could do some beadwork.
