Getting rid of the lay-a-way was one of the dumbest things Wal-Mart has ever done?

Wal-Mart lost a lot of business when they did that. Most people feel they can pay the total amount up front at any store, and don't need Wal-Mart anymore.
I have listened to people complain about it quite a bit.
It definitely was one of the stupidest things they have done..

It certainly attributes to their bottom line being in the red the last three quarters. Kmart has layaway and is certainly getting more customers that used to shop at Walmart.

I never used lay-a-way, but for those who do, I'm sure it's a bummer.
