There are large clots and an extreme amount of blood. Can anything be done to make them lighter? Would the pill help? If so which one? Also, is the possibility of pregnancy still there?
For those of you who know me. This question is not about me. I'm fine and the baby is fine. So please don't worry. Thank you, everyone.

If the person always has heavy periods or usually has them then yes the pill can be extremely helpful. Almost all B.C. pills will help but Im sure the doctor will give you the one he or she thinks is best for you. The pill will dramatically lessen the flow and the days your period lasts. A friend of mine had the same problem and it turned out she had endometriosis, birth control pills have helped her greatly and she has still went on to concieve when her and her husband were ready twice despite her condition and all babies were healthy and fine. Hope this helps!!

The pill will usually help make a period much lighter, but if the period is abnormally heavy she should see a doctor, there could be a medical condition involved. Some clots are normal, but very large ones are not. Definitely get her to go to the doctor, and if there is no problem, I'm sure the pill will help alot. Good luck,. hope this helped. P.s. heavy periods don't mean you can't conceive.

The pill would definitely help. Before I started birth control, my periods were very heavy and lasted 7 or 8 days! Once I got on birth control, they were much lighter and only lasted 3 or 4 days. Good luck!

I had this extact problem. I was on the pill, even took injections, and NOTHING happened. What did work is I would take 3 Motrins. I would only take this when it got to the days when it was very heavy and had the large clots. Also, see a gyno, they will be able to help you further if the Motrin doe not help. Good luck and if you have any more questions, e-mail me

Birth control should help lessen the flow and help with cramps. A doctor would prescribe the best pill for the patient.

Yes the contraceptive pill does work. Dianette or another pill that is high in oestrogen should work just fine.

The possibilty of getting pregnant is removed with any contraceptive pill you take.

It is the best way of solving this problem.

This girl needs check up to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease and endometriosis. A good balanced diet with salad n fruits to avoid constipation, some light exercises and a regular routine may help. Good luck.

I'd say try birth control pills. I'm on em and my periods are super short and light, but it might not work for everyone. Good luck.

you can talk to your doctor and request the pill. Seasonale is a pill that gives you four periods in a year. I think you can still have kids.
