no, thank goodness.. I do believe though that the poverty in our country coupled with the soaring violent crime is turning our cities into little war zones.
example. two taxi drivers were shot dead on Saturday morning while driving a van full of people because they had taken a different route and a rival taxi crew needed to teach a few lessons.
I went ice-skating with a mate in jhb 2years back and our bus was evacuated cause of a bomb scare, that didn't put us off skating so we walked the last few blocks. As we came around the corner 4 policemen open fire on two, i can only guess, criminals who happened to be standing a few meters to our left.
a woman in January paid two unemployed illegal immigrants R200 (actually nothing in SA) to kill her ex-husbands new wife. they did just so but included in their slaughter the child, an 8month old baby girl. the coroner said the girl was so badly rapped her annal and vaginal cavity were both torn into her lower abdomen...
no war this end of the earth just serious rage, anger and lack of education... mix that all together with extreme poverty and watch the people who can, flee our beautiful country and those that can't wait in fear :(
