Or is that too rightful of a thing for him to do?

Diabot,

I'm glad you think it's a joke that Carter cut by 50% the value of the fixed pensions that millions of grandparents received.

His inflation drove millions of grandmas and grandpas into poverty. Laugh it off. But, it's one of the worst things anyone has ever done to our elderly. Laugh it off.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we all could do that?
If only the pure and righteous could give advice we would all be lost, even Ann Landers would be out of business.
We used to think that experience counts, it still does and knowing what one does incorrectly and changing it is important, staying a course into the eye of a hurricane isn't.

From a person who asked a bigoted question before I doubt you are capable of asking a truly open question. I also doubt you are old enough to remember Carters administration or more importantly what he was dealing with at the time of his inauguration . The US was just winding down from Vietnam and there were many issues outside of that which also effected his term...the gas crisis is one of those.

Jimmy Carter? Failures!?? Oh no, he thinks he is perfect. He's desperate to stay relevant, so he just attacks Bush. He's not accountable, because he doesn't hold any office anymore.

Carter's failures were that he was an ineffective president.

However, his successes since he left office far outweigh his failures.

Have you forgotten that he won a Nobel Peace Prize?

Let me paraphrase an old aphorism. Those who can, do. Those who can't, "preach".

Jimmie can't do anything right, therefore, he preaches to others (and gives bad advice too).
