I stay home all day because people have diluted this and other holidays as a reason to get high and drink excessively. Too bad really, it is a great holiday. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND OTHERS WHO MAKE THIS LIFE POSSIBLE.

Hmmm... take the opportunity to get some rest and do some chores. I work a lot of overtime, and I'm usually too exhausted to celebrate, and besides, the current president has really torn down a lot of the patriotism I've once felt.

The neighbors do enough celebrating to make up for my shortcoming, last night it sounded like they were reenacting the Battle of Yorktown outside with all the fireworks going off.

Seriously I'm not american but trust me I celebrate your departure from our Great British empire every bit as much as you do.
