ASAP. It could be something harmless, like cysts, but you HAVE to get it checked out to make sure that it isn't cancer. (Now get off the computer, and call your doctor!)

A firm lump that is IRREGULAR, hard and painless should be treated as if cancerous, meaning if it is irregular, schedule an appointment asap.
Every lump should be paid attention to, but if the ones you discovered are not irregular you might be among the 80% of women who have non-cancerous lumps. Still you must be checked by a doctor, even if it doesn't look like cancer. Why? There are other conditions that must be seen by a doc, like a clogged milk duct, which can be extremely painful if untreated.
Congratulations on doing yourself breast exams, now follow it up and schedule an appointment.

well you should most defanitly get into a dr. it may not be cancer, just fibroids this is hard breast tissue, but one cant be sure. Also if there is breast cancer history in your family, go now, if your over forty go now. no matter what go now. you need a mamogram, to rule out cancer, and make sure they are just fibroids, which many woman have. or it can be cancer, just not the typical lump type. dont put it off, you may have found it soon enough, to save yourself. Get in ASAP, this is a holiday, so you cant call today. so call tommorow, morning as soon as they open, tell them what you found. they will fit you in as quickly as possible. Save your life. You dont know if you have cancer, or if it is , the type which progresses quickly or slowly
good luck

Sometimes there are no symptoms of breast cancer when it is in the early stages. If you notice a lump, or are experiencing anything unusual, you must report the symptoms to your doctor as soon as possible.

Ummmm, "yesterday", would be my advice to you. Please go get checked out immediately. Sometimes it's nothing, like it was for me last year, and sometimes getting checked can quite literally save your life as it did for my mom.
