Why do Americans I see on TV sleep almost naked whether they are young or old?

So they can feel the sheets against their skin. The only reason to wear pajamas is so you don't have to wash your sheets as often. Otherwise, it just feels better to sleep naked or almost naked.

Well, why would you wear anything by the time you go to sleep anyway? You´re just gonna lay there quiet, it´s not like you´re going to a meeting or a date...

because it feels good. Also, most Americans can afford heat in the their homes and don't have to dress warmly to sleep.
