I live in SA, in a very low developed area. my little two bedroom house is stuck between two "koppies" (think, big rocky hill but emphasis on big!) in the summers on clear evenings we can see the constellations and the milky way without a telescope :)
stood up on the hill about 2months back, the dry grass was about knee high and moving slowly in the breeze, with my back to the house i could see nothing on the horizon except silvery blackness and thousands of sparkling crystal stars. the silence and the sheer volume of stars made me realise that we are all so tiny in the big picture, I really felt breathless!!! I felt so small and the world felt so endless it was really moving.
pity most people don't see the stars in my back yard, a friend that lives an hour east of my place cant see the stars but she does get to hear helicopters, police sirens and traffic from the main road which is about 100meters from the entrance to her complex... I love my tranquility!!!

nope but i got a real rush one time freakin out my therapist.. i told her i had made up my entire story and history..man was it funny to watch her face as she struggled for words. lol she was a really lousy practioner and I found out later completely unqualified to be treating me, so she deserved it LOL
