Well...one of the greatest. His name will be one of the first mentioned when "great quarterbacks" comes up. But these guys are measured on so-o-o many statistics, that someone will always be able to point to one area and say, "See? He doesn't measure up to ----------." So what? He can sleep well every night knowing that he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

I believe that he will be the greatest of all-time. I believe that Brady will end up with more rings than Peyton will, but Brady's whole team has been a much better unit than Indy has had for much of Peyton's time in Indy......until last year's playoffs, he's had absolutely no defense.

There's such a fine line between winning and losing in the NFL, and it's not always entirely on the QB like we all like to think when talking about who's the best.

Favre will have the majority of the major records after this season (yes, he will....I'm a Vikings fan, so believe me, it kills me to admit that). He only has them on loan though until Peyton breaks them. I think Peyton will probably win at least one more title at some point and retire with 2 rings and all the records. It'll be hard to question the impact he'll have had.

In the AFC Championship game, during the drive that may wind up defining Peyton's career as they drove down for the go-ahead TD in the closing minutes......I can't remember who it was, but a WR was picking up yards after the catch at about the Pats 30 yardline, and he came VERY close to fumbling the ball straight into the hands of a Pats defender. He loses that ball, and guess what.....we're talking again this off-season that Peyton can't win the big game.

Ok, first, the question is greatest of all time, so don't even mention TOM BRADY's name along with MONTANA, MARINO and those guys. I dont' give a crap that Brady won 3 SB's, he is still not in the top 10, so he can not be considered the greatest ever.

Manning will not be considered the greatest ever unless he assaults the passing records and wins another SB or so.

Problem is you have guys like Montana, Marino, Favre, Fouts, Unitas, Elway, Young, Tarkenton, Kelly, Aikman, Dawson, Theisemann, Griese, Bradshaw, Staubach....so Manning has a long way to go.

No, what has he done to get that honor? One Super Bowl Does not make you the greatest. there are to many others with better stats and more wins in Super Bowls.

1. Joe Montana
2. Joe Montana (4 titles)
3. Terry Bradshaw (3 titles) i think
4. Troy Aikman (3 titles)
5. Tom Brady (3 titles)
6. John Elway (2 titles in 5 trips)
7. Jim Kelly (when you go to 4 straight win or loose. your on the list.............................

so no Peyton is not even close................ it will take another 2 titles to even be considered.

joe monatana would have never won a superbowl in the salary cap era he had a great team peyton manning will be the best ever because he is the most consistent QB to ever play the game. superbowls arent everything and besides hes not done playing, he could win 5 more you never know he could play for 10 more years and shatter everyones records. then will you guys beleive hes the best ever. I HOPE YOU GUYS DONT HAVE YOUR HEADS UP YOUR *** TO LONG AND MISS OUT ON THE TRUELY BEST QB TO EVER PLAY THE GAME.

No way...

Joe Montana
Tom Brady
Bret Farve

just to name a few. Peyton is not a leader. You can't go down in history as the greatest QB of all time when you publicly blame your teammates for a playoff loss.

No athlete in any sport is the greatest of all time they could be ONE OF the greatest of all time. Peyton will be one of the greatest of all time his stats have already helped put him in the conversation and the one Superbowl ring he has right now secured his place as one of the greatest

he is not there yet but when it is all said and done yea he will be on the same level as the rest of the greats. and tom Brady has not done half of the stuff as Peyton manning has the only reason tom Brady is considered on of the greats is because of the rings on his fingers with out those rings he is not even close to manning
