Me and my brother, who is 11 years old, have always wanted 2 hamsters. Next week we are moving into a big house with 162 acres for the back yard, which is a forest, but we will own it. In the far far back of the forest there is a huge treehouse that gets electricity. Our parents say no pets until the animals that we have now die. I am 13 years old. Would it be a bad idea to buy 2 hamsters and keep them in our tree house? We live in Manitoba. Would it be to cold out for them? Are there any facts I should know about hamsters?

Bad Idea! Manitoba does get very cold not and winter starts very early in the fall and lasts till late in the spring as far as the cold temps are concerned.
Not a good idea to go against the parents rules. You are at the age now where you should be using your common sense and thinking things out before jumping in with both feet. Where will you get the money required for buying these little critters plus their cages plus their feed. How will you keep this a secret forever from your mom and dad. Think before you do.....just wait it out, if you prove that you are a responsible pet owner and can feed and care for a small animal, your mom may change her mind. I am sure that she has her reasons for her decision.

Yes it would be a bad idea to buy 2 hamsters and keep them in the tree house.

#1: It's not heated and they'd probably die in winter.
#2: To do this you'd have to disobey your parents and become liars and cheats.
#3: Do you think it's ok to be dishonest and disobedient?
#4: When YOU are paying the bills, YOU get to make the rules. Right now your parents are paying the bills and THEY get to pay the bills.

I don't know you and your brother, but many kids your age are not consistent enough in their care of animals, and parents often have to do much of the animal care so the animals don't die. I can't help but wonder if THIS is why your parents made that rule. If they are having to care for animals they got you already, then they have good reason to make this rule.

Not a good idea because they will be easy prey.
Here is a couple of site that tell all about hamsters.

that would be a bad idea b/c other things could eat them, it would be to cold, u might not be able to get out to them to check on them when they need to be it would be harder to clean out their cage and feed them so they might die and u wouldnt even know and it would start to smell so its a bad idea

you should actually do what they say cause sometimes it may go wrong or they might find out or they might die of cold and you wasted all that money for nothing.
