They are no problem in summer as they can stick their long necks up the chimney and pop their heads out the top.
The chimney pot acts as a nice little hat to protect them from wind and rain.
It's a different story in the winter when you might want to light the fire.
I solved the problem by moving to the coast and buying a disused light house to give my giraffe year round comfort.

of course they do!
and I know they're great with elephants, so you don't have to worry that they'll quarrel ... crocodiles are OK with them too, because they rarely leave the tub. You should only be a bit careful if you have curtains with floral pattern. My giraffe likes to nibble it ... so I took it down, there was no point in having it, since the elephant smashed down the wall where the window was ... now we all moved in with the crocodile, so I have to be home all the time, to make sure crocodile and the giraffe don't start a fight
I hope this helps

They're very clean and don't bark or make noise. Most giraffes long for a companion, so I'd consider a llama within the next year to keep your giraffe company.

I'm not sure. I used to have one but my anaconda ate it before I can determine how good of a house pet it would make. And what sucks is that my anaconda died from choking on the giraffe.

Only if you've got a sky light he poke his head out. Train him to talk and he can let you know when people are coming down the road to visit you, or pretend to other people that you re not in (like if you've not paid your TV licence or somat!)
